AIS Fleet Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Saillogger LLC. AIS Fleet is a sub-brand of Saillogger.com operated by Saillogger LLC, not a separate company. In these Terms, “AIS Fleet,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Saillogger LLC.

By signing in or using AIS Fleet, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract where you live. If you do not agree, please do not use AIS Fleet.

1. Your account and acceptable use

Please provide a current e-mail address, protect your e-mail and one-time sign-in codes, and tell us if you think someone has used your account without permission.

Please do not use AIS Fleet to:

You remain responsible for messages, photos, names, and other material you submit. You give us permission to store, process, and show that material only as needed to provide, protect, and moderate AIS Fleet. AIS vessel catalog photos are covered by the separate agreement in Section 4.

2. AIS data and vessel associations

AIS reports and vessel details may be late, missing, duplicated, or wrong. AIS Fleet is not a navigation, collision-avoidance, search-and-rescue, or emergency service. Use official charts, required onboard equipment, good seamanship, and instructions from maritime authorities.

Linking an account to a vessel or MMSI creates an association inside AIS Fleet. It is not proof of legal ownership, registration, or authority to operate the vessel. To keep records accurate, we may verify, correct, reassign, suspend, revoke, or remove an association. We may also temporarily limit related features while reviewing a sale, transfer, conflicting claim, inaccurate record, impersonation, abuse, security concern, or legal request. We welcome relevant information from anyone affected.

3. Messages

Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Direct messages are shared with the other participant. Fleet messages are shared with current fleet members, including people who may join while a message remains available. E-mail notifications may contain message text or image previews.

Messages, reactions, and stored attachments are ordinarily removed from AIS Fleet after 30 days, although cleanup can take additional time. Clearing a conversation hides it only for you. Other participants, e-mail providers, backups, screenshots, or downloads may keep copies. Do not use AIS Fleet messages for emergencies or information that must remain confidential.

4. AIS vessel photo contributions

If you submit a photo through the Add vessel photo flow, the AIS Vessel Photo Contribution Agreement shown with the form also applies. You keep any copyright you own, but an accepted photo gives Saillogger LLC—not AIS Fleet the lasting permissions explained there. That agreement controls if there is a conflict about a catalog photo, and the version shown when you submit is the version that applies.

Submit only a photo you own or have permission to license. Photos can contain a capture time and precise GPS location. The upload form explains your location choice. Remove metadata from the image file before uploading if you do not want Saillogger to store it.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Closing or suspending an account does not always delete every record immediately, and rights already granted for an accepted catalog photo continue as the contribution agreement explains.

6. Moderation and account closure

We may remove content, limit features, correct a vessel association, suspend an account, or close an account when we reasonably believe it is needed for safety, accuracy, security, legal compliance, service availability, or another lawful business reason. This includes abuse, fraud, impersonation, infringement, security risks, or repeated breaches of these Terms. When practical, we will explain what happened. Urgent action may be immediate.

You may stop using AIS Fleet at any time and may ask us to close your account. Information is then deleted or retained as described in the Privacy Policy. Terms that still need to apply—such as accepted photo permissions, service ownership, responsibility limits, and dispute terms—continue after closure.

For a copyright concern, e-mail [email protected] and identify the work, the material you are reporting, where it appears, and how to reach you. We may remove material while we review a report and may close accounts of repeat infringers.

7. The service and our responsibility

AIS Fleet’s software, design, branding, and catalog organization belong to Saillogger LLC or its licensors. We give you a limited, revocable right to use the service under these Terms. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot promise that AIS Fleet will always be available, secure, complete, or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, AIS Fleet is provided “as is,” and Saillogger LLC is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total responsibility for claims relating to AIS Fleet will not exceed what you paid us for AIS Fleet in the twelve months before the claim.

We do not limit responsibility where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, fraud, or non-waivable consumer rights.

8. Changes, disputes, and contact

We may update these Terms as AIS Fleet changes. We will post the new effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes. We will ask you to accept updated Terms when required. Updated photo terms apply only as the contribution agreement explains.

Washington State law governs these Terms. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, unless consumer law gives you another right or forum that cannot be waived. Other Saillogger services have their own terms, which continue to govern those services.

Questions, account requests, vessel-association disputes, privacy requests, and copyright concerns are welcome at [email protected].
