AIS Fleet Agent Data License
Effective: October 9, 2026
This license applies to each paid response you obtain from AIS Fleet: a vessel position, a vessel track, a vessel's port calls, a list of vessels in a port, a monthly or annual port intelligence report, or the vessels heard in an area on one day. It is an agreement between you and Saillogger LLC, the operator of AIS Fleet. By purchasing or using a response, you accept this license.
The short version
You may use a purchased response in the task or product result for which it was requested. Do not resell raw responses, assemble them into a competing database, or use AIS Fleet data for navigation or emergencies. Data that was not directly observed is flagged estimated and stays flagged wherever you use it. This license does not cover vessel photos, which Saillogger LLC licenses only under a separate written agreement that expressly authorizes their use or display.
1. Vessel-data responses
Vessel-data responses are positions, tracks, a vessel's port calls, lists of vessels in a port, monthly or annual port intelligence reports, and the vessels heard in an area on one day. You may use a purchased vessel-data response for vessel identification, research, analysis, planning, and a contextual result delivered to a user. You may retain it as reasonably needed for that task or an associated audit record. You may not sell or redistribute the raw response, use repeated responses to create a competing vessel-data database, or use stored responses to evade per-response charges.
Reported data and its timestamps can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong; a gap in a track means no reception, and a record flagged estimated marks a boundary that was not directly observed. Every response is informational only. Never use it for navigation, collision avoidance, search and rescue, an emergency, or any decision where life, safety, or property depends on accuracy.
2. Vessel photos
Vessel photos are not sold under this license, and purchasing a response does not license any photo. Saillogger LLC gives permission to use or display a vessel photo obtained from AIS Fleet or Saillogger outside those services, whether on a website, in an app, or in any other product or service, only under a separate written agreement that expressly authorizes that use or display of vessel photos. Being a partner, service provider, or customer of Saillogger LLC does not by itself give that permission.
A photo purchased under an earlier version of this license remains governed by the version presented when you purchased it.
3. General conditions
This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable except as part of a permitted delivered result, and limited to the response purchased. AIS Fleet and its licensors retain all other rights. You may not misrepresent a response, imply that AIS Fleet endorses you, bypass access controls or usage limits, or use the service unlawfully.
Responses are provided “as is” and may become stale immediately. To the extent the law allows, Saillogger LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss. Our total responsibility relating to a response will not exceed the amount you paid for that response. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
4. Changes and contact
The version presented when you purchase a response governs that purchase. We may publish a later version for future purchases. Washington State law governs this license, subject to rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
