What this is

AIS Fleet can answer questions from an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. Once you connect one, you can ask it things like "where is my boat" or "which boats on my Harbour list moved today", and it reads your AIS Fleet account to answer.

The assistant only ever reads. It cannot follow a boat for you, change a list, join a fleet, send a message or change anything about your account.

Connecting an assistant is part of Plus and Pro. Plans and billing covers the plans.

Before you start

You need:

The address to give the assistant is:

https://aisfleet.com/mcp

Connect one

  1. In the assistant, add a connector or app and give it the address above.
  2. The assistant opens an AIS Fleet page in your browser.
  3. Sign in to AIS Fleet if you are not signed in already. If asked, accept the current Terms or finish entering your name. You then return to the access page automatically.
  4. Read the page. It names the account, where the access goes and whether AIS Fleet could confirm the app's name.
  5. Choose Allow access, or Cancel if anything looks wrong.

When you reconnect an assistant, AIS Fleet asks you to review and allow access again.

If the page says AIS Fleet could not confirm which app is asking, nothing has been shared. Start again from the assistant you are connecting, and if it happens a second time, leave it and write to us.

What an assistant can read

Everything an assistant reads is something you can already see when you sign in:

You can narrow nearby-vessel questions to a kind of vessel, such as sailing boats or cargo ships. Searches with many matches may need a more specific name or MMSI to find the boat you want.

Track history follows your current plan. Track summaries use a selection of reports, so distances and speeds describe that selection. A gap between its points does not mean a boat stopped reporting.

A fleet boat without an MMSI is still listed by name. If she appears in more than one fleet, she may be listed separately in each.

What it cannot read or do

A position is only ever as recent as the last report AIS Fleet received. Gaps between reports are common, especially offshore, and a gap does not say why reports stopped. If you think someone may be in danger, call the coastguard.

Disconnect an assistant

Open Account. Under Connected apps you will see each assistant that is connected. Choose Disconnect beside the one you want to end, then confirm. You can also disconnect an assistant while your account is on Basic.

Disconnecting takes effect at once: the assistant's next request is refused, and it has to be connected again if you want it back. Disconnecting does not remove anything the assistant has already read.

The section is hidden once AIS Fleet confirms that no assistant is connected. If the list cannot be loaded, choose Retry.
